Ford was giving use option to remove the smart hitch and scales because they did not have the chip so how does that work. I also read EV are extremely profitable for Ford so why are they going up so much on the price.
For those of us lucky enough to place an order yesterday or today with either a 500$ or 1000$ down payment, is that enough to satisfy the current tax rebate provision in regards to a purchase order? It would be better for me to have the current rebate and not end up falling under the Inflation Reduction Act that is soon to be signed by the president.
Ford is reopening ordering for the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck, and it's brought along a few updates for it. At the top of the list is a little boost in range for the base battery option. It picks up 10 more miles for a total estimated range of 240 miles. This battery option is available on the base Pro, XLT and Lariat trims.
Also available now is Pro Trailer Hitch Assist. This feature lets the truck automatically maneuver itself into position for hooking up a trailer. It's available on all trims. On Pro, XLT and some Lariat trims, it's part of the optional Tow Technology Package. On some other Lariat trims and the Platinum trim, it's a standard feature.

Inflation is real. I get it, but $8900 price increase on Lariat ER and elimination of some of the coolest party tricks like onboard scales and smart tow hitch? After waiting paitiently since Day One, I'm out @FoMoCo on this one. I'll order a base. And wait. And keeper the ICEr for road trips.
