The Tesla Cybertruck has officially received its crash safety rating more than a year after deliveries began in November 2023—and the results are impressive. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) awarded the Cybertruck an overall five-star safety rating, excelling in nearly every individual category.
As part of the New Car Assessment Program (NCAP), the NHTSA conducted multiple crash tests on 2024 Tesla Cybertrucks. In the frontal crash test—simulating a head-on collision at 35 mph—the Cybertruck earned a five-star rating for the driver and a four-star rating for the passenger.
This rating reinforces Tesla’s commitment to safety, adding another milestone to the Cybertruck’s growing legacy.
